  • Produced the indie feature film THE SURFACE, starring Sean Astin, Chris Mulkey, and Mimi Rogers. THE SURFACE, based on true events, is a survival drama about two strangers, both at the end of their rope, who suddenly meet in the middle of the unpredictable waters of Lake Michigan. THE SURFACE is available on many streaming platforms. 

  • Screenplays available written by Jeff Gendelman: HEADWIND, inspired by a true coming of age / martial arts story; MOUNTAIN PASS, a survival thriller inspired by a true event; and EVEN KEEL, a crime dramedy.

  • Screenplay available written by Douglas Segal: b4u, a romantic comedy about finding true love at a lake house in the heat of summer.

  • Executive producing FIFTEEN starring Bradley Whitford, James Wolk, and Michael Shayan, written/directed by Sal Paskowitz, and produced by Gil Cates, Jr., academy award winner Andrew Carlberg, Ryan Lewis, David Gallagher, Nina Paskowitz, and Kristin Paskowitz. Currently in post-production.

Jeff Gendelman BIO

  • Wrote and produced the indie survival drama THE SURFACE (please see above). 

  • Co-wrote, produced and directed the television pilot, STRAIGHT FROM THE EDGE.

 

  • Wrote, produced and directed the award winning short film, IN PASSING.

  • Jeff is also a lifelong actor who graduated from U of Minnesota, trained at American Conservatory Theater (ACT) in San Francisco, and has had roles at theaters across the country, including the Old Globe Shakespeare Festival, and roles in independent films in NYC and Los Angeles, working with many stars including Tom Berenger, Marlee Matlin, Robert Forster, Christopher Lambert, Loretta Devine, and Chris Mulkey. Additionally, Jeff was a series regular on the ABC daytime dramas LOVING and ONE LIFE TO LIVE, and a guest star on two episodes on NBC's original LAW & ORDER and Fox's BEVERLY HILLS 90210.

  • Studied film at the BBC, AFI, and NYU.  Acting seminars with Edward Albee and David Mamet.

  • Presented a TEDx Talk on perseverance at Marquette University.

  • Guest lecturer for theatre, film and television at colleges and universities. 

 

  • Jeff is also a certified 6th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, and has advanced ranks in three other styles (Karate, Kung fu, Kenpo). He is a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy, Jackson Hole Ice Mountaineering School, and Outward Bound Survival School.

 

  • ​Jeff, along with Chan Lee, founded the nonprofit J.K. Lee City Youth Martial Arts Program (CYMAP), which brings the life skills and character enriching benefits of martial arts to underserved youth. It continues to thrive under Executive Director Maryfrances Palmisano. Additionally, Jeff and his wife Ginny helped found the nonprofit, MJFLA, a non-sectarian organization that offers qualified interest-free loans.​​​
